THE EMERGENCY BRAKE

dvt kill grows into the one command you type when things feel stuck: catalogs come down, suspended runs (and the locks they hold) are reaped, and --force terminates running work deliberately.

  • ▸dvt kill is now the emergency brake: alongside taking down every hosted catalog, it reaps SUSPENDED dvt processes — a Ctrl-Z'd run stays frozen holding the federation cache lock, and dvt kill frees it in one stroke.
  • ▸Running dvt work is respected by default: dvt kill lists it and leaves it alone; dvt kill --force terminates it deliberately.

Get it: pip install dvt-core==0.2.14 · wheels on PyPI for macOS (arm64 + x86_64) and Linux, Python 3.10–3.12.
